Dusseshra Means to Me.

Just as we all celebrate Dusseshra, would like to share what it means to me… very truly said, Dussehra signifies the victory of good over evil, truth over false and dharma over adharma, it inspires us to follow the path of dharma (righteousness) and truth.

But if we jump deep down into it, no matter how powerful is the evil (Consider any of your character or a person), it will come to an end one day. In the end truth, justice and goodness prevails. On this day I have seen effigy of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnaad are burnt, they are nothing but qualities which spoil the mind that is lust, anger, identification, greed, too much pride, jealousy, selfishness, injustice, cruelty and ego.

When you read about the Ravana, we understand he was one of the wisest and learnt person of his time. he is considered as one of the greatest devotees of lord shiva. he had mastered all the four Vedas and shastras. he was a great veena player and master of astrology and Ayurveda, with all the knowledge and power, he missed one thing that is to conquer his own ego before setting out to conquer the world. he conquered all the nine planets of astrology. he defeated the mightiest people of that time including devas (gods). but he didn’t defeat his ego. so, keep your ego in check and listen to your inner voice.

These days mankind is on the footsteps of Ravana. We are out to conquer the whole world and sending missions to mars and to outer world, but we are not mastering our inner world, despite all these technological inventions and all knowledge on your Phone, we are still miserable, sad and depressed. we are claiming rights over the whole earth. we forget that birds and animals also have equal rights over earth, in our greed we are spoiling the natural resources of the earth.

Keep your secret to yourself, if Vibhishana didn’t know the secret of Ravana’s death then it would have been difficult to defeat him.

Most important lesson if you are on the side of truth then you will always win at the most justice might be delayed but you will always get it. So have patience, stick to the path of dharma, don't cheat anyone, don’t claim anything which is ethically not yours, don’t take bribes, don’t promote corruption and don’t be greedy…

Ravana when asked boon from lord Brahma for immortality and protection, then he didn’t mention the name of human. So as per the boon given to him by lord Brahma, No Devta, Deity, Yaksha, Serpents, Heavenly Spirits, Wild Beasts etc can kill him. That's why lord Vishnu has to take the birth in human form to kill Ravana. so never be over confident. stay humble.

Follow the Path of righteousness….

Any Story has a message to convey, we have stopped following the message…. let take a time to look at the teaching from Dusseshra

Happy Dusseshra to All… Anoop

Why I Would Tell You Not to Buy a Holiday Home in Wayanad

Let me start with something that may sound strange coming from me. I live in Wayanad. I am building businesses here. I am involved in hospitality. I am working on holiday homes and nature based living. And still, if someone calls me and says, "Anup, I am thinking of buying a piece of land in Wayanad and building a homestay. What do you think?"   My first answer today is not, "Yes, go ahead." My first answer is, "Wait." Spend some time here. Understand Wayanad. Then decide. Because I have slowly realised that many people are not really investing in Wayanad. They are investing in a picture they have created in their minds about Wayanad. They see a beautiful piece of land. A mountain view. A stream running beside it. A lake somewhere nearby. Trees everywhere. Maybe the forest is just a few hundred metres away. The broker says, "Sir, this area is going to develop." The price still looks reasonable....

We Forgot Us

Srinivas was in his late fifties and, by every conventional definition, he was a successful man. He had spent most of his working life in one of the biggest corporate companies in Bengaluru. Good position, good salary, good house, good savings and a life that most people would look at and say, "What more do you want?" Saritha was working too. She was about six years younger than him, ambitious, independent and still very serious about her career. Their two children were doing well. One was working in the USA and the other was studying there.   From outside, the Srinivas family looked like one of those families who had got everything right.   Inside, something had slowly gone missing.   Their mornings were almost mechanical. They would wake up, go for their walk, come back, get ready and leave for work. Their offices were in different directions and the Bengaluru traffic made even a normal journey feel like a punishment. It was not that their offices were ver...

No Audience, Still Acting

I was having my tea the other morning, sitting on one of the small shacks near my construction site. A teenage girl walked past and waited at the bus stop across the road. It was clear something was special for her that day. Maybe her birthday, maybe an event in school. She kept adjusting her hair and her dress, and from the corner of her eye she checked if anyone was noticing her. That small moment pulled me into a long thought. Who are we when nobody is watching? I realised how often we live our life like someone is always looking at us. As if there is a stage, lights, and a crowd waiting to judge our next move. I lived that way too. Every smile measured, every word chosen, every silence planned. I knew how to act in rooms, how to fit in, how to be liked. What I did not see then was how temporary habits become permanent masks. Slowly the mask sticks so tight that one day you forget how your real face even looks. The mask was supposed to be something I take off when I feel safe. But a...
