In the heart of a busy city, under a sky dimly lit by stars struggling to shine through the city's bright lights, Priya's world was about to fall apart. She had parked her reliable bike by the roadside and decided to take public transport for her doctor's appointment. The late hour had brought darkness to the city, but its constant hustle and bustle made her feel safe.
After her doctor's visit, Priya returned to her bike, only to discover a flat tire. Panic surged through her as she realized it was late, and finding a repair shop in the dark city seemed impossible. She fumbled for her phone, desperate to reach someone who could help her out of this nighttime crisis.
In her moment of despair, Priya called her younger sister Riya, her only hope at that moment. She explained her dire situation, her voice trembling with fear and uncertainty.
But fate had something unexpected in store. Two kind-hearted individuals in a truck driving through the city's winding streets noticed Priya's distress. They approached her with compassion, their faces softly lit by the streetlights, and asked if she needed help. They even told her about a nearby repair shop that truck drivers frequented, even late at night. Priya felt grateful and agreed to go with these strangers, trusting in their goodwill.
While Priya anxiously awaited her sister, a different story unfolded. Her family grew frantic, and her parents and Riya rushed to where she had left her bike. Their search was in vain, and they asked people nearby for information. After a tireless search, a tea stall owner mentioned that he had seen Priya with her bike, getting onto a truck headed to the repair shop. They hurried to that shop, only to find it closed. Panic turned into determination as Priya's parents contacted the police and reached out to friends and family for help in finding their missing daughter. An intense investigation into her disappearance began.
The authorities carefully examined security camera footage, which showed Priya entering the truck. But from that point on, there was no trace of her. As the night turned into an anxious morning, the city's people grew impatient, demanding action from the government.
As dawn broke, people noticed a large flame beneath a bridge. Firefighters rushed to extinguish it and discovered a burned body. It didn't take long for the pieces to fall into place, and the news spread about the rape and murder of Riya. The public was outraged, and the city commissioner urged the police to find the truck drivers, unaware of the unfolding tragedy.
About halfway to their destination, the police apprehended four people from the truck. They were bound and hidden, their identities a mystery. Among them were two innocent hitchhikers who had no involvement in the crime. But the determination to solve the case remained strong, despite their pleas.
The next day, the police retraced their steps, with the media and the public closely following. A crucial moment came when they reached the spot where Priya had entered the truck. The crowd's anger erupted into chaos as they accused the suspects. In the midst of the commotion, the truck drivers, trying to escape the mob's fury, fled toward a nearby group of trees. Tragically, the situation escalated, and the police, in a panic, fired their weapons, ending the lives of the suspects. The public rejoiced, the media approved, and the government celebrated a quick resolution.
But in the tumultuous aftermath, a young constable named Sabu couldn't shake his doubts. He couldn't believe the truck drivers were capable of such terrible acts, and he visited their homes to deliver the bodies. Driven by a commitment to uncover the truth, Sabu carefully reviewed all the evidence.
Months of relentless investigation led Sabu to a shocking discovery. Priya had indeed safely left the truck at the repair shop, a crucial detail missed in the initial investigation. CCTV footage also revealed an Audi car near both the spot where Priya's bike got a flat tire and the repair shop.
Sabu's pursuit of justice led him to the Audi's owner, an influential MLA named Sunil Reddy. But meeting Sunil proved challenging, so Sabu used discreet channels to gather information. Through covert means, he discovered that Sandeep was the main user of the Audi and was involved in protests related to Priya's case.
Digging into Sandeep's social media, Sabu found a photo of Sandeep and Priya, suggesting a deeper connection. Toll booth records placed the Audi near the crime scenes on that fateful night.
With this incriminating evidence, Sabu confronted Sandeep. Initially, Sandeep denied any wrongdoing, but under mounting pressure and evidence, he confessed. Unbeknownst to Sandeep, Sabu recorded his confession. Sandeep's motives were revealed: he had once been in the same class as Priya and had romantic feelings for her, which she had rejected. On the day of the incident, Sandeep had sabotaged her bike to offer her a ride, intending to express his love. However, the truck driver came to her rescue, so he followed the truck for another chance to offer her a ride. A heated argument ensued between Riya and Sandeep, leading to a tragic accident. In a panicked state, Sandeep disposed of Riya's body under the bridge and set it on fire, inadvertently involving the truck drivers.
Sabu wanted to meet Sandeep's father, who was shocked when presented with the evidence. Sabu was smart; he knew that going to court wouldn't help anyone. Sandeep would go to jail, and the truck drivers' families wouldn't get any help. So, he offered to show the evidence to Sunil Reddy, but at a high price. Sabu demanded land, a modern house, a luxury car, and a substantial sum of money in exchange for his silence. Desperate to protect his son, Sunil reluctantly agreed to Sabu's terms.
With the dark secrets of that fateful night finally revealed, Sabu quietly provided some compensation to the families and workers connected to the ill-fated truck drivers, a small attempt to ease the burden of his own guilt.
